Welcome to The Love Shack! The online home of Alex Malinovich. Please, make yourself at home. I can’t offer you any chairs to sit in, coffee tables to put your feet up on or refrigerators to raid. There are no bathrooms, no Windows in sight, and while the view is great there’s no Vista. Oh, and there’s a large, horned gnu meditating in the corner. Says his name is Rich. Go figure.
If the preceeding paragraph didn’t make all that much sense to you, it illustrates two very important points. One: I am a computer geek. Well, an all around geek, but specializing in computer-geekery. Two: You, on the other hand, are not. This is probably a Good Thing®™© (et al).
But moving on… I am, as I said, a computer geek. I have a mixed background of computer networking, administration, and programming. I hold a B.S. from Purdue University in Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, and I have worked professionally as a programmer, system administrator, and network engineer.
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Yugoslavia at the time). I moved to the United States with my family at the age of eight, and we settled near Chicago where I stayed for more years than I’d care to remember. I am currently living in Portland, Oregon which is, in my estimation, one of the best cities on the planet.
When I’m not in front of a computer screen I’m an avid motorcyclist, skydiver, SCUBA diver and ballroom dancer.
