OpenID login up and running
The OpenID wordpress plugin is up and running. It’s not without its share of hiccups, but it works well enough. One of my favorite features is that it allows you to associate any number of openid’s with an account, so if/when I start collecting more ID’s, I can just add them to my account and use any one of them to log in. Pretty nice feature.
For those who don’t know the first thing about OpenID, openid.net and openidenabled.com are good places to start. If you’re looking to get an OpenID there are a number of options out there. If you have a LiveJournal you already have an OpenID. It’s yourljname.livejournal.com. If you don’t use LJ or would just like a different one, I’d personally recommend myopenid.com as they’re a local Portland company and open source friendly. And no, they didn’t pay me to say that… unfortunately…
